The 2026 Kia K4 remains one of the most accessible compact sedans in Canada. The big news this year is the arrival of the Kia K4 hatchback, now the most affordable hatchback in the country. Here are the trims, the price of the Kia K4 and the technical options to know before visiting Kia Chambly.
For 2026, Kia adds the hatchback trim (only $500 more than the sedan MSRP) and a new EX Premium trim positioned between the EX+ and GT‑Line Turbo. The K4 maintains the standard 2.0 L naturally aspirated engine with 147 horsepower and the optional 1.6 L turbocharged engine on the Kia K4 GT‑Line Turbo with 190 horsepower.
Compared to the Forte, the 2026 K4 brings three concrete advantages. An all‑new platform that is stiffer and quieter, more rear legroom, and a modernized cabin with an optional panoramic dual screen, a format previously found in more premium segments.
The base 2.0 L is a direct evolution of the Forte's powertrain: dependable, efficient and easy to live with. The transition is natural for previous owners.
The entry LX starts at $24,295 for the sedan and $24,795 for the hatchback. The Kia K4 hatchback thus becomes the most affordable hatchback in Canada in 2026, ahead of the Toyota Corolla hatchback from $24,820 and the MAZDA3 Sport that starts around $26,000.
Standard equipment includes a 2.0 L 147-horsepower engine, a CVT transmission, a touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air-conditioning and a rearview camera.
The EX is $27,095 (sedan) or $27,595 (hatchback), the EX+ is $28,595 or $29,095, and the new EX Premium is $30,495 or $30,995. The EX Premium adds Highway Drive Assist, front ventilated seats, rear heated seats and chrome accents.
The GT‑Line Turbo is $32,095 (sedan) or $32,595 (hatchback) and the GT‑Line Turbo Limited is $35,095 or $35,595. This is the only trim to receive the 1.6 L turbocharged 190 hp and 195 lb‑ft, paired with an 8‑speed automatic and a sport‑tuned suspension.
On the Limited, you will find: a Harman Kardon sound system, a sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and heated and ventilated leather upholstered seats.

The 2026 K4 hatchback arrives in showrooms starting January 2026.
The hatchback mirrors the sedan's equipment, while adding a practical edge for rear passengers with 25 mm of extra headroom in the second row. Cargo volume reaches 629 L, enough space for several suitcases, a full sports kit or a large family grocery run without having to fold the rear seats.
The GT‑Line hatchback offers an exclusive colour: Sparkling Yellow.
The design stands out with angular lines and a vertical Star‑Map lighting signature. Depending on trim, the vehicle can be equipped with 16-to-18-inch rims.
Several colours are available, including Interstellar Grey, Steel Grey, Morning Haze, Aurora Black, Snow White Pearl, Wave Blue, Radiant Red and Sparkling Yellow, the latter exclusive to the GT‑Line hatchback.
