The new generation of the 2027 Seltos arrives with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) hybrid powertrain.

The hybrid setup includes a 1.6 L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor on the rear axle to provide AWD.

Although the figures are not yet confirmed, the hybrid powertrain could produce 160 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque.

The arrival of the 2027 Kia Seltos hybrid aligns with the Korean manufacturer's electrification efforts to offer more hybrid, PHEV and 100% electric vehicles on our roads.

• Trims: SX, X-Line, GT-Line. 1.6 L turbocharged 4-cylinder, producing 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque

Combined fuel consumption is 7.6 L/100 km with the 2.0 L engine. It is 9.2 L/100 km with the turbocharged engine.

The first powertrain works with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while the second pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

In short, the 2027 Seltos will be offered with gasoline engines and, as mentioned, a hybrid model will join the lineup. This means that you will be able to choose from two gasoline powertrains and a hybrid setup.

Pricing and release date for the 2027 Kia Seltos in Quebec

Starting prices for the new 2027 Kia Seltos are not yet known for Canada. They will be announced closer to its release date, planned for mid-2026.

The new generation of the subcompact SUV will be available in dealerships by the end of summer 2026.

The hybrid trim is expected to arrive by the end of 2026.
