2027 Kia EV4 GT-LineGood news: the EV4 has been on sale in Canada since December 2025, and the 2027 model has been available to order since September 1, 2026. Here are the key numbers and facts you need to know.

The 2026 lineup includes five trims, all front-wheel drive and powered by the same 201 hp, 209 lb-ft electric motor. What changes from one trim to the next is the battery, the range and the equipment. Prices below exclude freight and PDI, taxes and dealer fees.

The 2027 Kia EV4 update goes well beyond the arrival of the new GT. The lineup keeps the Light, Wind, Wind Premium, GT-Line and GT-Line Limited trims, but all-wheel drive is now also available on several trims, whereas it wasn't offered in the regular 2026 lineup.
The Wind, Wind Premium, GT-Line and GT-Line Limited can now be configured with AWD for an additional cost, while the new EV4 GT gets all-wheel drive as standard and leans further into performance, with an estimated 288 hp and 345 lb-ft of torque. Kia also confirms a maximum range of up to 552 km for the 2027 lineup.
The GT adds a second electric motor. The result: all-wheel drive and 87 hp more than the other trims. The table below compares it with the 2026 GT-Line.

Simply put, the GT trades about 57 km of range for more power and all-wheel drive. It also stands out with its neon green brake calipers, suede and leatherette seats, and a GT button on the steering wheel that unlocks its highest-performance mode.

Keep our Quebec climate in mind, though. Cold temperatures, speed and cabin heating all have a major impact on real-world range.
A simple rule of thumb: if you drive 60 km a day, even an EV4 Light gives you about 6 days of driving between charges, in good conditions.
The EV4 is a sedan with a 408 L trunk and a wide opening. In practical terms, two carry-on suitcases and a few grocery bags fit without folding the seats. The 60/40 split-folding rear seatbacks fold down for longer items. Prefer an SUV? Take a look at the Kia EV3, which offers up to 1,600 L with the seats folded.
Inside, the dashboard brings together up to 30 inches of screens. On the driver-assistance side, every trim gets 8 airbags, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA 1.5), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Safe Exit Assist, among other features. The GT-Line Limited adds the 360° Surround View Monitor, Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2) and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

Our advice from the showroom floor: if range and affordability are your top priorities, the Wind offers the most range per dollar among the 2026 trims. If all you want is all-wheel drive, you no longer need to step up to the GT in 2027. The Wind, Wind Premium, GT-Line and GT-Line Limited can also be configured with AWD. The GT is better suited to drivers who want the most performance-focused configuration.

On a 350 kW fast charger, allow 29 to 31 minutes to go from 10 to 80%. At home, on an 11 kW Level 2 charger, it takes 5 h 10 min (Light) or 7 h (81.4 kWh battery) to charge from 10 to 100%, which means overnight.

Yes, as long as you choose the right trim. Every trim has a battery heating system, heated front seats and a supplemental heater. From the Wind up, the heat pump reduces the energy used for heating. Still, expect less range in extreme cold.
The Wind. It offers the longest range in the lineup (552 km) and the heat pump at the lowest price with the 81.4 kWh battery. If you want Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2), you'll need to step up to the GT-Line Limited.
